A fantastic opportunity for a motivated and determined individual to join a salon located at Lodge Moor, Sheffield 10. The apprentice will be trained in all aspects of hairdressing, assisting stylists in the day to day running of the salon. Full training given through Paragon and will complete an NVQ qualification. Duties will include assisting the stylist, maintaining salon health and safety, maintaining reception, performing reception duties, meet and greet customers, learning hairdressing skills, taking part in set training time. As competence is proven you will be given additional tasks assisting the stylist.
Requirements: No qualifications are required but previous experience, college qualifications and work experience in a salon would be beneficial, as would GSCE Grades A to C in English and maths or equivalent qualification. If you have gained past full or part time employment experience in any industry this would show commitment and reliability and would be helpful with your application.No skills are required but the ability to be confident in speaking with all age’s groups and being able to learn in a hands on way are two ideal skills. The employer is looking for someone who enjoys learning, has the ability to use their initiative when things need to be done and likes to give things a go.Being a Hairdresser you need to have a bubbly personality, be great with people and take pride in your appearance, so looking the part is always a must. You need to be hardworking and motivated in this industry and having a creative flare, along with enjoying attention to detail, are great qualities. Becoming a Hairdresser is about building relationships and getting to understand the needs of your clients. It is also about learning to build working relationship. Must be able to get to and from the work place in Lodge Moor.

Hours: Tues – Sat, 39 hours/week.
Pay: £106.47/week.
